ASPLENIUM HURRICANE BIRDSNEST FERN

This fern might look fancy, but its care needs are fairly straightforward:

Light: Give it bright, indirect sunlight. Think dappled sunlight filtering through trees, not harsh, direct rays. South-facing windows with sheer curtains can work well.

Water: Keep the soil consistently moist, but not soggy. Water deeply when the top inch of soil feels dry, and avoid letting the plant sit in water-filled saucers.

Humidity: Like its tropical origins, it appreciates moderate to high humidity. Using a humidifier or grouping it with other humidity-loving plants can help.

Soil: Ensure well-draining, aerated potting mix specifically designed for ferns or orchids. This allows for good drainage while retaining moisture.

Feeding: During the growing season (spring and summer), lightly fertilize once a month with a diluted balanced houseplant fertilizer. Skip fertilizing in winter.
